WISDOM ATHLETIC TRAINING
About Gina Riggle
Hi! My name is Gina Riggle and I am the owner of Wisdom Athletic Training. My passion in life is helping other people find happiness and feel good about themselves. I specialize in older active adults and new to fitness clients. I am a certified NASM Personal Trainer and I have a background in one on one personal training, senior fitness, group training, youth athletics, and competitive swimming. I was a competitive DI swimmer for UNC and I love to share this knowledge with anyone. I offer open water triathlon training and pool swim training to all ages (check back in Summer 2023).
During the mornings when most gyms are crowded, you can find me at retirement communities around Northern Colorado teaching classes and coordinating fitness programs. I also travel to clients homes and bring all equipment needed ranging from bands to balls to light dumbbells. My training focuses on mobility, stretching, balance and overall strength training with either bodyweight or light resistance.
(No heavy barbells needed... especially in your living room!)
Are you a potential client looking for a higher intensity workout? Please reach out. I offer mobile training, group training and one-on-one strength and conditioning training.

I have worked with clients as young as 4 and as wise as 102. Fitness can be inclusive for everyone.

TESTIMONIALS
I hired Gina in April to help me recover from a total knee replacement. It is, by far, one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is so supportive and caring. When I found out I also had a broken foot I wanted to give up. She was there telling me we will get through it together. She has done extensive research on my conditions and has structured workouts especially for me. They are never the same and definitely not boring. Gina has made me an advocate for functional fitness and taught me you don't have to spend hours in the gym lifting weights or on a treadmill to be healthy. You can archive good health at any age, I am 58. Since June I am down 9 inches and 11 pounds. I am excited where this journey takes me!

I was 69 and very overweight when I started exercising in an over 55 group with Gina Riggle as our trainer (the ages in the group are in their 70’s and early 80’s).
I had not exercised in years and was very nervous to start. Gina helps each person go at their own speed and provides different exercise options as needed. She is great at explaining each exercise, what muscles it helps and the correct way to perform the exercise.
Gina’s warm ups are extensive and she prepares your body properly for the planned exercises that day. Each exercise class is different and uses various pieces of equipment. The over 55 group and I look forward to her classes. We have fun and never get bored. Gina is the major reason I kept exercising (when it could have been so easier to stop).
I am now 70 and my physical fitness has greatly improved. I have improved my balance, my ability to reach high, to stand up from a sitting position (without using my hands) and touch my hands to the floor. These are all things I could not do prior to starting the classes.
My health has improved due to Gina’s classes. I have lost weight since I started exercising. Also I had a left hip replaced in December 2022. My required physical therapy (PT) instructions after the surgery stated I had “no precautions”. My PT trainer stated in all her many years, I was the 3rd person she worked with that had no precautions listed. Also my A1C has gone from 5.8 to 4.6. I know all these improvements are due to exercising with Gina.
Training with Gina I have learned some valuable lessons. One, no matter how old, out of shape or overweight you are you can still exercise and improve your physical fitness. The other is in order to have your best life as a senior you must exercise. As seniors the time for excuses is up (and believe me I had them all). Gina is a great trainer to get you on the right path.
Gina Riggle is a professional trainer in the true sense. I plan to keep training with her for many years to come.

Gina came to Ironside and changed the way I have thought about exercise. I previously thought I should lift heavy and just “get stronger” but she brings the big picture: mobility, flexibility, endurance and strength. I’m looking at another 50+ years of living, and she has helped with the making my body into something that will not only survive it but be able to LIVE it, and continue to do the things I love in Colorado. The added bonus is her great uplifting attitude at 5am, and the music playlist that makes me want to dance. That in of itself also helps with the mental part of health. She is the full package and definitely would recommend her as a trainer.

I have known Gina since 2015 when I first took one of her Aqua classes at 24 Hour Fitness. Her class was so innovative and fun, I signed up for a personal training consultation. From that point on I was hooked! She has seen me through many tough times in the past 7 years. Gina has spent hours researching ways to make workouts the most effective for me, no matter what health issues I was facing. Most recently, I had to undergo rotator cuff repair surgery, including biceps tendon release and shoulder decompression. I wasn’t able to return to the gym for 6 weeks, but when I did, Gina made sure workouts were tailored to my needs and shoulder restrictions. I’m now 15 weeks out of surgery and there’s nobody else I would trust to help me continue my rehab. Gina gives her heart and soul to her clients, and I would challenge anyone to find a more caring trainer. If you’re looking for a highly qualified, knowledgeable, and all-around fantastic person to help you attain your fitness goals, look no further because she’s right here and her name is Gina Riggle.
